Thank you for visiting our stand G20 at Futurebuild 2024 where we have exhibited a selection of our Cradle to Cradle certified design solutions and acoustic panels based on the carbon-reduced cement type FUTURECEM®.
At Troldtekt, we believe that acoustic comfort and a healthy indoor climate are key elements of high-quality buildings. Since 1935, we have manufactured Troldtekt acoustic panels from wood and cement extracted from Danish mineral resources. We design, develop and manufacture the panels in Denmark – from local materials and under state-of-the-art and eco-friendly conditions.
Since 2022, Troldtekt has been part of the Kingspan Group, an Irish company which supplies high-quality building materials to the global construction industry.

Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM™ is part of the exhibition
The cement in Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool gives the acoustic panels their strength, durability and effective fire performance. But cement also accounts for almost the entire carbon footprint of the acoustic panels. FUTURECEM from Aalborg Portland exploits the synergies between calcined clay and lime filler. In this way, much of the burnt clinker in the cement can be replaced.
Looking at the product’s entire life cycle, Troldtekt acoustic panels based on FUTURECEM have a carbon footprint that is:
• 26 per cent lower than Troldtekt based on grey cement
• 38 per cent lower than Troldtekt based on white cement
You get the same good acoustics, effective fire performance and natural strength as with our classic panels.
Troldtekt is Cradle to Cradle Certified at Gold level
The vision behind Cradle to Cradle is a world where manufacturers design their products for a circular economy – i.e. that materials can be incorporated into new cycles.
All Troldtekt acoustic panels in natural wood and painted in standard colours, including the non-combustible A2 acoustic panels and new Troldtekt panels based on FUTURECEM, are Cradle to Cradle Certified at Gold level.
Decisive for the certification at the Gold level was that the new colour recipes for the standard colours white, grey and even black were used in our production.
Troldtekt has been Cradle to Cradle Certified at Gold level since 2022.
