Troldtekt acoustic panels on ceilings in hotel

Escape everyday life in harmony with nature, experience the ultimate in relaxation and do something good for your body and mind - this is possible in the “Neue Landtherme” of the traditional Thermal Spa & Romantic Hotel “Das Mühlbach” in Bad Füssing, Lower Bavaria.

Now run by the seventh generation of the Freudenstein family and continuously developed, the wellness hotel is now a luxurious retreat, where tradition and modernity combine to create a unique ambience.

Thermal sources at depths of more than 1,000 metres

After being bought by the family in 1798, the former Taverne des Grafen z'Schönburg was combined with a neighbouring farm and operated as a public house.  The guesthouse, newly built in 1912, is still integrated into the hotel today. The first rooms were rented out in the 1950s after thermal springs were discovered at depths of more than 1,000 metres.

These healing sources feed the pools of the 2,000-square-metre Mühlbach Thermal Spa and the pools of the “Neue Landtherme”, which promises the highest quality wellness moments.

The “New Landtherme”

The “Neue Landtherme” is integrated into the four-storey new building of a “village chalet” with a rooftop bar and a total of 23 rooms and suites, which was built on the neighbouring property of the hotel under the guidance of Desch Architekten und Ingenieure.

Guests can relax at 30 degrees and enjoy the view of nature in the 30-metre thermal lake pool, Bavaria’s longest infinity thermal lake pool. The spa living room has large, cosy sofas and private niches for resting.

Troldtekt ceiling panels round off the elegant feel-good atmosphere

Bright and high-quality furniture and floors, as well as lots of untreated wood on the walls, give the light-filled rooms a natural feel-good atmosphere. The elegant design concept is underlined by grey Troldtekt ceiling panels, which are Cradle to Cradle Certified® in the Gold category. The acoustic panels are used in thermal lake pools, wellness living rooms and other areas.

Troldtekt wood wool panels can withstand high humidity and temperatures, making them suitable for the most humid rooms, such as swimming pools and shower areas. The acoustic panels used here, which are based on the cement type FUTURECEM, have a reduced CO2 footprint compared to Troldtekt panels based on conventional cement.
