Raw inspiration from Kødbyen

Hotel Scandic Kødbyen in Copenhagen has created a restaurant with attitude and clear ties to the meat packing district it is part of.

MØR Restaurant & Bar is located in a wide passageway between Skelbæksgade and Kødbyen in Vesterbro, as part of Hotel Scandic Kødbyen. The venue is open for lunch and dinner, but the kitchen is always busy. Fire, heat and smoke are involved in almost all the food preparation.

Inspiration drawn from the raw urban meat packing district has been transformed into an atmospheric interior featuring elements such as meat hooks as hangers, carpets with marbled meat patterns and authentic materials like iron, copper and concrete.

The lighting is intimate and the mood is enhanced by black Troldtekt ceilings, which also improve the room acoustics and ensure visitors have a better experience at MØR.

The hotel bar is adjacent to the restaurant and decorated in the same style, with warm colours and links to the urban district.

Coffee Box

Visitors can hang out in Scandic Kødbyen’s large innovative lounge area, work in peace and quiet, and think outside the box with a good cup of coffee in the hotel’s café – Coffee Box – whether they are staying at the hotel or just dropping by for coffee.

The style is international, with an underlying new Nordic theme. Much of the furniture is made of wood, and plants of all sizes grow between the various seating areas, underscoring the creative environment.

The café features high ceilings, and as in the restaurant, bar and reception area, black Troldtekt panels have been chosen as a common theme and acoustic solution. The result is a very inviting café that is full of contrasts.
