Atmospheric attic space with designer classics
Fredericia Furniture has opened a showroom at the top of the Møinichen Mansion, the former Royal Mail House in the heart of Copenhagen. Here, the company presents design classics and new products against the perfect backdrop of this historic building.
Spread across two floors, Fredericia’s selection of furniture is steeped in stories dating all the way back to 1911 when the firm was established, and includes well-known pieces from Børge Mogensen classics to completely new takes on Danish furniture design.
The new premises feature a creative workspace for employees in addition to the gallery and showroom. The atmosphere reflects the company’s creative work and the vibrant intensity of this international brand. Visitors and business partners also add to the lively environment.
Stylish contrasts
The top floor of the Møinichen Mansion features an attic space with charming angled ceilings. It also offers access to a rooftop terrace, from where you can admire the city’s towers and roofs. Daylight floods in through the many windows, giving the furniture shape and texturality, while the black Troldtekt ceilings lead your gaze towards the interior design and the views.
Black Troldtekt panels have been chosen for their exclusive finish and good acoustics – together with the furniture, of course! The attic showroom is rich in contrasts, with raw concrete floors, raw walls and stairs, while the radiators are clad in customised steel panels.
The choice of materials and hues is thus inspired by urban, modern interiors, where the exquisite furniture contrasts with the raw materials to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
