Air-handling ceiling meets superb design
The rhomb acoustic design solution is a real eye-catcher in the staff room at Hale-Bau Innenausbau GmbH in Mindelheim, where it has been installed over an energy-efficient, air-handling ceiling.
Hale-Bau Innenausbau GmbH, founded in 1974 and located in the industrial park in Mindelheim in Bavaria, is looking to the future with a state-of-the-art hall which meets the KFW55 standard. Covering a total area of 1,200 m2, the two-storey building has sufficient space for warehouses, the manufacture of plaster mould parts as well as offices and relaxation areas for the workers.
Air-handling ceiling for greater energy efficiency
The entire office space has been fitted with a KlimaTop air-handling ceiling, which always ensures an optimal room temperature – even in the hot summer months. The building is supplied by a groundwater heat pump, which is primarily powered by electricity generated specifically for this purpose from a 50 Kwp photovoltaic system. This drywall system can be fitted to any raw ceiling and can be easily adapted to any layout. It is suitable for both new builds and renovations and can be either suspended or fitted directly – from an installation height of just three centimetres.
The flexible drywall system is effective across the entire ceiling area, no matter how many nooks and crannies the room has. This means that the air-handling ceiling performs just as well even at lower flow temperatures.
Elegant ceiling design
The bright and airy meeting and staff room on the top floor of the new build features light walls combined with a light wooden floor. The dark kitchenette, with a back wall matching the wood-effect flooring, offers an effective contrast to the light furnishings. The effect is further enhanced by the rhomb design ceiling, which has been installed over the air-handling ceiling and whose honeycombed texture adds an elegant touch to the sloping ceiling.
