Modern office project in a raw setting
Business growth at Länsförsäkringar in Eskilstuna served as the impetus for a magnificent renovation project in an old industrial building.
With an office space of no less than 1,000 square metres, the employees at the Länsförsäkringar insurance company in Eskilstuna can now enjoy plenty of room. The Libergsgatan address is an old industrial building, and the client, the large property management company Ladingen, has received expert assistance with the interior design from Carlstedt Arkitekter in Eskilstuna.
Carlstedt Arkitekter has a wealth of experience with renovation projects, and details from the building’s earlier life have been preserved. You can encounter details such as an original cross-beam, and an old safe has been restored and preserved for posterity.
Focus on good acoustics
The numerous square metres that make up the new offices are designed with attention to detail, so both staff and customers get the best possible experience. In addition to the large common areas, there are several different meeting rooms and a small claims management unit.
Large windows and floors in hard materials meant that it was necessary for the architects to prioritise acoustics in the transformation of the premises. This has been done in part by laying thick carpets on selected floors and hanging heavy curtains in some of the large windows, and in particular by installing white-painted Troldtekt acoustic panels in ultrafine structure on all ceilings.
