Impressive school building

The Millermoaler Student Campus is a unique design created through a collaboration between the Luxembourg architectural firm WW+ and the Dutch Atelier PRO.

This innovative building houses a public primary school, a special education school, a BSO and a large canteen.

In Luxembourg, primary schools and BSOs are generally separate and special education schools are not integrated into regular education. However, with this new building, the design team wanted to work with those involved to develop a spatial programme that was economically viable while also functioning optimally for the users.

Millermoaler Student Campus in Echternach (LU) has become an impressive school building that stands out because of, among other things, the different and light storey heights, which, in addition to added flexible spaces and daylight, also provides green outdoor spaces on the roof. This conscious choice contributes to sustainability and gives the building a friendly appearance.

Troldtekt solutions provide the classrooms, canteen and flexible spaces within the school with acoustic absorption, mounted in a concealed T35 profile system. To simplify maintenance, the designers also chose Troldtekt access hatches.

In the finished design, WW+ and Atelier PRO have created an inspiring future-oriented environment in which pupils, teachers and other stakeholders can learn and work to their full potential.
