To mark its 20th anniversary, the European Waterpark Association (EWA) has presented a special award to the Rulantica water park in Rust, Germany. The project features Troldtekt acoustic solutions as part of the design.

World Architecture Day is celebrated each year in October. In Denmark, the day is also an opportunity to celebrate particularly successful buildings – and several of the award-winning projects in 2022 use Troldtekt.

Troldtekt is part of the Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology’s project ReSource, which has just been selected for Realdania’s ‘Housing construction from 4 to 1 Planet’ initiative. The project looks at the possibility of replacing carbon-heavy cement with a more climate-friendly binder produced from construction waste.

Erlev School at Haderslev, TEC Gymnasium H.C. Ørsted in Lyngby, and Sundskolen on Falster are all on the prestigious shortlist of finalists at the World Architecture Festival in Lisbon.

Michael Heeager Nystrup becomes new CEO at Troldtekt, where he will be leading the global expansion of the Danish acoustic panels. He has solid experience with global industrial sales and business development – most recently at LOGSTOR, which is also part of the Irish Kingspan Group.

For the third year running, Troldtekt has been recognised as one of the best Danish SMEs at communicating about social responsibility. Global Compact Network Denmark and FSR – Danish Auditors are behind the ‘SME COP list’, which was published at an event at Vækstfonden. 

On 26 August, Troldtekt GmbH was presented with the HRH Crown Prince Frederik International Business Award. The award honours Danish companies’ foreign subsidiaries or partners who promote Danish exports. The criteria include having a strong business model with sustainable solutions.

Eighteen teams of university students from all over the world are competing at the Solar Decathlon Europe 2022 in Wuppertal, Germany. The goal is to design and build the best solution to tomorrow’s urban challenges. Troldtekt is a partner for the competition and is sponsoring one of the projects.

Consultants and project owners are now able to download environmental product declarations (EPDs) for eight different types of Troldtekt acoustic panels based on FUTURECEM™ cement. The life cycle analyses show that the panels have a reduced carbon footprint.

Troldtekt is now launching two new variants of its award-winning design solutions. Troldtekt® v-line 1way and Troldtekt® v-line 2way acoustic panels feature elegant v-shaped grooves milled into the surface. Troldtekt v-line is based on the classic 25 mm Troldtekt acoustic panels, and can be produced at very competitive prices.
