Inspiring harmony in Ikast

Society of Lifestyle has created its very own aesthetic universe in an industrial park.

Sometimes, you find beautiful and exclusive design in the most unexpected places. Headquartered at a relatively anonymous address in an industrial park in Ikast in central Jutland, the Danish company Society of Lifestyle boasts no impressive views of glorious countryside or a vibrant metropolis. Still, the building is beautifully proportioned with dark facades and patios, but primarily stands out for its tasteful, edgy interiors.

Society of Lifestyle is an inspiring lifestyle universe comprising four unique lifestyle brands: House Doctor, Nicolas Vahé, byNORD and Meraki. The new building has added an extra 2,200 square metres of upgraded exhibition space, administration facilities and a canteen. At the same time, all the employees are now gathered under one roof.

Spiral staircase in dark steel

The entrance consists of a large double door in COR-TEN weathering steel, which sets the tone for the expansive showroom on two floors inside. Everything is carefully arranged to give visitors the best possible experience. A large steel spiral staircase connects the two levels while forming a raw sculpture in the room.

Troldtekt has been installed throughout the premises, and Anne Merrild, Executive Assistant, is convinced of the qualities of the chosen solution:

“We’re extremely happy with the black Troldtekt in our ‘studio’, as it creates a sense of calm while adding a slightly raw dimension.  The black track lighting in the acoustic panels also works well, and gives us considerable flexibility when refurnishing the studio space. The blackness of both the ceiling and the lighting tracks creates a visually calm look that directs even more focus towards our own products.

The grey Troldtekt line panels in our administration offices add a light and stylish feel, and go really well with the grey concrete walls and floors.”
